Beginner Watercolor Practice Pages
Use without printing: Keep the exercise instructions open on screen while practicing on separate suitable painting paper. Copy or trace the exercise shapes and record your materials and observations separately. Painting requires your chosen art materials; no interactive painting tools are included.
Explore watercolor through twelve original printable exercise pages with clear practice instructions, blank painting grids, and observation spaces.
The pages cover material tests, one-color values, water amounts, even washes, gradual washes, soft and sharp edges, colors meeting on damp paper, dry-layer comparisons, a three-color mixing record, brush marks, leaving paper white, and small combined studies.
These are practice templates, not finished paintings. Paint on separate watercolor paper and copy or trace the exercise shapes, or print on suitable paper only if your printer supports its type and thickness. Test whether printer ink smears before adding water. Ordinary copy paper is useful for notes but is not a substitute for watercolor paper.
